Okay, the workouts have been lighter lately and less frequent due to injuries, illness, and work demands. I am dying to get back to the hard schedule of heavy weights and long work-outs. I think we might start tomorrow (3/31).
I have finally decided to see a doc for my wrist. It now hurts during regular activities, so I have to get it checked out. My right forearm is tender as well, but i think that is just tendonitis. No biggie.
I'm now targeting Winter 2010 as the year I compete in my first Strongman competition at the ripe old age of 40. Hopefully, I'll be strong by then...

Daylight savings time benefit
Starting yesterday we now have an additional hour of sunlight to squeeze in some workouts (especially on the days where we have to work late). Daylight savings time can be criticized for many things, but the fact that it allows you extra "outside" time in the evenings is not one of them. I am looking forward to stretching my Daddy Strong workouts into the newly lit evenings.
Still nursing injuries (me=wrist; Jake=shoulder), but we are getting there.
Personally, I'm improving my overall strength on "pressing" actions (bench and standing military). I am working on those more than anything else since it's a weak area for me AND it allows me to lift heavier weights without too much strain on my wrist.
Currently:
Bench: 5 set of 5 reps (185#X1; 195#X3, 205#X1)
(End of Year Goal: 300#)
Military: 3-4 sets of 10 reps (115#)
(End of Year Goal: 200#)
